The 21st Century Victory Garden

Back in the 20th Century, victory gardens were vegetable, fruit and herb gardens planted at private residences in the United States during World War I and World War II to reduce the pressure on the public food supply brought on by the war effort.

Today, America faces a different set of challenges. Our concept of the 21st Century Victory Garden Project would aim to address current social maladies ranging from poverty and hunger to troubled youth and environmental irresponsibility.

We’ve learned that there are organizations in our community who seem to have ideas similar to ours. See our Plan of Action page.

    Hi Kim. Hi Kendall

Thought I’d let you know that there may be an opportunity to get the 21st Century Victor Gardens going as Community Harvest (SW) is in a holding pattern. We may want to get with Aaron and chat a bit more?

    Cheers,
